Northwest Rett Rebrand

Northwest Rett Syndrome Foundation, known as Northwest Rett in my branding, are calling for action for a rebrand. A new identity that looks professional and promising while being supportive and welcoming. A new brand that can attract both funders and local families affected by Rett Syndrome.

NW Rett Colors/Fonts

Rett Syndrome is a rare genetic neurological disorder that can be recognized in children between 6 to 18 months, primarily in girls. It occurs in 1 in every 10,000 female births worldwide. A child affected with Rett Syndrome starts to lose their mobility and ability to walk, move their hands, speak, eat, and even breathe easily.

NW Rett Brand Guidelines

Although it may seem tragic, parents never fail to lose hope. They hope that there will be a cure one day. They love their child and those affected by Rett Syndrome. Support groups such as Northwest Rett bring people together. Above all, connecting with each other through these tough times are what help keep them going, to be able to keep hoping.

Primary Mark

The primary mark is a building block of the keywords HOPE, LOVE and CONNECT. The bottom heart represents HOPE. It is the foundation that holds families together. Without hope there is nowhere to start. The top heart represents LOVE. It's placed where the human heart lies. Although the kids can't talk, they love to the fullest. The circle represents CONNECT. Families at support groups talk about their life with Rett and these interactions are what help ease mental and emotional grief. Connecting with one another is what helps them get through even the darkest of times. These three building blocks create a figure of a person in warm pink and purple colors.

Secondary and Tertiary Mark

The secondary mark is a shortened version of the primary mark, best used for smaller products and merchandise such as water bottles, business cards, and bracelets. The tertiary mark just uses the illustration without the word "northwest rett." This mark is great as a cute logo on small products as well like hats, business cards, and badges and can also make fun patterns!

And with everything together, we represent northwest hope, northwest love, and northwest connect. If you would like to support northwest rett or learn more, please visit:

*(Please note that this was a school project so my branding is not used on their website)
